Red fish – the common name of the species of fish delicacies, sturgeon family.

In everyday speech often applied to salmon that inhabit the Far East, as well as in the Barents and White Seas: salmon, trout, salmon, chum salmon, since their meat has various shades of red or reddish-pink (salmon, sockeye salmon, chum et al.), but this usage is wrong. At the same time, some salmon fish (such as whitefish and white salmon) are the meat and milky-white in Siberia and in the north of the European part of Russia called white fish (Wed Inconnu).
